Shennaghys Jiu would like to introduce the line up for 2012!

Cairde

Arlene Mccarroll

Started playing music at the age of 5. Started seannos at the age of 11.
All Ireland seannos dancing champion.
Has qualified for Ulster fFeadh in whistle bodhran and button accordian.
Has competed in Fleadhanna and Feiseanna since the age of 6.
Appeared on An Jig Gig.
County champions in a scor compition, and has many Tyrone titles.

Ciaran Mc keever

3rd in banjo 2-15 all Ireland!
And 3rd in Siansa Gael Linn! Ulster champion.
Runner up many times on both banjo and bodhran.
and has many Tyrone titles.

Micheal Kerr

Started playing trad when he was 7- banjo first, then fiddle and guitar.
Competed in Fleadhanna, Feiseanna and Scoraicht from a young age,
competed in all Ireland senior fiddle at the Fleadh..
got to all Ireland final of Siansa in 2005 thruugh school.
Has toured in America several times playing with Savannah Philharmonic Choir
and has toured Germany with several Irish dance shows, and
recently completed a tour of Germany with the Irish harp orchestra.

Nae Reel Ceilidh Band

Nae Reel Ceilidh Band

Are five 16-17 year olds, who play traditional/contemporary Scottish music
learnt while performing with James Alexander and The Fochaber Fiddlers,
originating from Speyside Scotland.
They also call ceilidhs and perform at many Scottish dances through the year.
They consist of fiddles, acoustic and bass guitar, keyboard, drums/cajon, whistle and voice where appropriate.

Kavan from Cavan

Nineteen-year-old UCD?student Kavan Donohoe has already accumulated a very
impressive CV in traditional Irish music, and on the harp in particular.
He started playing the instrument at the tender age of seven at the Granard Harp School under Kim Fleming,
before moving on to study with Michael, Fionnuala and Aonghus Rooney from Scotstown, Co Monaghan.
He has also been steadily honing his skills on the uilleann pipes, tin whistle, low whistle and guitar for some time now,
becoming highly proficient in each of these instruments.

He will be accompanied by Cian Ó Ceallaigh - bodhran Richard Pyne – banjo and mandolin
